3DS import and 3DS export file in AutoCAD

There is a method to import and export 3DS files in AutoCAD. To import and export 3DS files directly in AutoCAD environment please follow the step by step procedure below.

1. 3DS import file operation in AutoCAD is possible with native AutoCAD IMPORT command. To import 3DS file (3D Studio Max) into AutoCAD type _IMPORT into AutoCAD command line or choose it from the File menu and choose 3DS file format in the import file dialog.
2. 3DS export file operation in AutoCAD is possible with native AutoCAD EXPORT command. To export 3DS file (3D Studio Max) from AutoCAD type _EXPORT into AutoCAD command line or choose it from the File menu and choose 3DS file format in the export file dialog.
